According to a survey of 107 enterprises, spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure is growing faster than organizations' ability to see or manage the economic consequences. Most companies use familiar hyperscaler infrastructures and model provider APIs for their AI projects.
However, subsequent investments are directed toward specialized compute resources that almost none of them use today. More than half of companies plan to switch or add providers within a year, with many doing so within a quarter.
